We use Google Maps to locate the suppliers added to this site. It's usually really good at mapping a location based on its address but can sometimes be frustrating.

Here are some tips:

  • Try omitting the postal code

  • Numbered streets should be entered as "123 4 st" (e.g., house #123 on 4th st.)

  • When adding country addresses, especially concession addresses, you can leave the address empty and enter only the town and postal code.

  • Try to find your address using Google Maps first

  • Email us the information for the supplier and we'll try to get it to work

I found out tonight that Google Maps uses a different geocoder than their free geocoder available to other websites. A geocoder is the service that turns an address into a longitude and latitude.

If you're having problem getting an address to map correctly, just enter the town and province and then email me the full address; I will manually correct it in the website.
